2007 is just about over, and the big thing about this year for me is that I got through it without having a “real” job. Not without racking up some serious debt and loads of troubles along the way (my car got re-repossessed yesterday, for instance), but the only boss I had all year was myself and it was incredibly satisfying.

Recently buying a few new Macs I found that Apple bundles a special crippled “drop in” Leopard upgrade disc that requires an installation of MacOS 10.4 on your Mac. Considering that I format my Macs right out of the box this crippled upgrade DVD doesn’t really work for me - which then forces me to purchase a retail copy of Leopard. Hardly fair!

This made me laugh. Providers were fighting who will give better ‘free sms’ plans. Then my GSM provider decided that they have enough resources for even better campaign - they offered adding 0.02 LTL to account balance for every SMS received. So, smart kids saw business opportunity - they started spamming SMS messages from one phone (free SMS!) to another (get paid for SMS received). Smarter kids...
